About Us!
The TTEA is the country's recognized organization for equestrian activities. Since its inception, the TTEA has grown, providing riders of all ages and calibre with opportunities for both fun and competitive events at local, regional and yes, international levels!
Our Beginnings...
The Trinidad & Tobago Horseback Riding Club was officially formed in January 1991 after many years on the drawing board. The club was formed to encourage riding as a sport and recreation and to promote good fellowship amongst riders. It also aims to improve and maintain the standard of riding and horsemanship. The Club changed its name to The Trinidad and Tobago Equestrian Association in February 1997 as the first step in becoming the only official body representing Equestrian Sport in the country. With over 100 members and 6 independent Stables, the Association's long term strategic plan is to produce international level horses and riders. Since its inception the Association has organised numerous competitions in Showjumping, Dressage, Cross-country and Gymkhanas for riders of all levels.
